Some New walls recently completed by Spanish artist ARYZ while visiting Basque Country, Spain in Bilbao and in Casablanca, Morocco.  Check out his latest mural style focused on representing his recent sketches in large scale.

Bilbao, Spain: ”El fin justificado”

“I always thought that the most difficult thing of painting in big formats was too keep the line gesture and the proportions like in the sketches. My sketches have a lot of mistakes and random lines, and somehow I wanted to reproduce that on a wall. The more effects and colors you use on your work, the more you can hide the mistakes and catch the viewer’s attention… when you use the line and not much more, the mistakes can be easily seen…” -Aryz

Japanese illustrator and calligraphist, Usugrow who opened his solo show ‘INKFLOW’ at Fifty24SF Gallery this past weekend just completed a second wall at Upper Playground, San Francisco.  Titled ‘ Talking with Moon’ the wide mural with sloped repeat patterns of the letter ‘I” has the meaning of the  ”Eye” and the self ‘I” spreading out from the corner ‘Moon’.  

World renown muralist, ARYZ, who opened ‘Style is the Limit’ at Fifty24SF Gallery with us last year, is  currently attending the Vilnius Street Art Festival in Lithuania.  His latest large scale mural is in progress and photographer Henrik Haven sends us work in progress photos:

 

 

Our long time friend and contributing artist Usugrow, with his masterful calligraphy works, is renown for his hand style and collaborations around the world.  After several years of hiatus and reorganizing himself in Tokyo,  he is finally making his way to San Francisco for a solo show and book release this month at Fifty24SF Gallery.

Upper Playground artist Herbert Baglione released photos of his latest work in Rio de Janeiro while exhibiting at this year’s Street Art Um Panorama Urbano 2014 presented by Caixa Cultural. Still working within his on going theme of ‘1000 Shadows’, its signature movements of shadowy figures cascaded through buildings and streets of Rio.
