Franky Aguilar

Fifty24SF Gallery is pleased to present a first solo show by Franky Aguilar titled ‘CLICK HERE’

“CLICK HERE” is a giant, robotic, slop-chopped’n screwed collection of digital artworks. This body of work examines the story of the data revolution, hardware, and it’s subsequent connection to the internet. Eventually contemplating the obsession and addiction to being connected to the web. This is digital junk food for your eyes, CLICK HERE.”

WOLFBAT, Opening Party

WOLFBAT is now open for your viewing pleasure. Thanks to everyone for making it out to support Dennis and FIFTY24SF on our opening night. It was great to be able to share Dennis’ labor of love with all of you. The chance to share multitudes of prints made via an intricate process of woodblock carving, to printing, to capture and then finally screen printing on paper alongside Dennis’ original paper maché masks, collages and Viking Sails has been extremely rewarding and has had a transformational  effect on the gallery space itself. If you haven’t yet had a chance  to check out the show, please mark you calendar, we’ll have this up and running through September 28th.

Dennis Mcnett’s work ranges from masks, installations and sculptures

Dennis Mcnett has been carving surly block prints for over 18 years. His encouragement as a kid came from his blind grandfather, who told him over and over again that his drawings were good. Later influences came from the raw high-energy imagery pouring out of the early 80’s skateboard & punk rock scene and Norse mythology, particularly the nordic half-god half-wolf Fenris. Mcnett’s work ranges from masks, installations and sculptures to unique hand-carved wood cut pieces, traditional relief prints, and graphics. Participating in both the fine art and design worlds, Dennis has created series’ for Anti-Hero skateboards, designed shoes for Vans, filled the windows of Barneys, NY, and participated in the Deitch Artparade. His work has been featured in The New York Times, Juxtapoz magazine, Thrasher and Complex Magazine. He wants to live until he dies. Breathing is good.
