About the Artist:
Herbert Baglione was born in 1977 in São Paulo, Brazil where he still lives and works. Baglione is renowned for his elegant yet haunting street murals that reflect on the social and political context of its environment. His ongoing installations that came to be recognized as '1000 Shadows', brilliantly emerge on rooftops and walls of buildings, sometimes only visible in their entirety from an aerial view. Away from the streets and on his canvases, his figures often take shape as strange human silhouettes, elongated and rounded with poetic impact, highlighting his interest in human imperfection and extremes. Baglione's visual language, location and color palette evolves and changes constantly, yet his powerful figurative subjects remain constant in his journey as an artist.
