English artist, Simon Beck, traveled to the Canadian Rockies, leaving breathtaking imprints on the mountainous landscape of Banff National Park in Alberta. Beck creates geometrical designs with nothing more than a compass, map drawing, and pair of snowshoes to make precise tracks in the snow.
The creative process was captured for #ProjectSnow, a high-definition video montage of snow art in motion. Shot over several hours, at various times of the day, the montage also features magnificent “light drawing” effects, highlighting Beck’s work through LED lighting. #ProjectSnow includes Beck’s largest drawing to date, a snowflake he composed on Peyto Lake, surrounded by mountain peaks.
