Graphic designer and illustrator based in Lisbon, Rita Gomes, was born with a natural tendency to provoke, using sarcasm as a weapon and the power of full-time thinking to write about the most common things of all possible things: life and human beings, the inbetweeners, and the all arounders.
She achieved a huge internet visibility for her sense of humor and honest hand lettered statements. Her work has been featured in countless art & graphic design websites, several magazines and a few books, and exhibited worldwide ever since.
Her work can be described as an intimate journey to the personal universe of the artist who presents herself as an “emotional terrorist and agent provocateur” as well as a “biting visual narrative that will help us understand, in an unequivocal yet poetic way, why each of us is also God’s only mistake.”
